The Rice

If you want to become a part of history, if you like to drown yourself with great restaurants and bars all within 5 minutes of walking, this is the place to live. I'm not a resident yet of this beautiful historic building but I will be soon. Amenities are super cool. I loved the entrance. You feel a grand welcome by the door person and by the huge lobby area with super cool Chandler lights. Ohh, I almost forgot, there is a huge balcony on the 2nd floor where residents can relax and enjoy the true downtown view, people in the streets. I had my tour yesterday, and Samantha was extremely helpful showing me around and she went out of her way to accommodate my needs with various rental options. I am going to apply today and dearly hope that I get accepted. Can't wait to live as a resident of Rice Lofts soon.

I’ve had the pleasure of living at The Rice for a year and half! I love my home, my view, my amenities, and the conveniences of living downtown. I love the energy that downtown brings, not to mention all the wonderful upscale restaurants within walking distance. My view is spectacular. The management team is amazing, Samantha is always going above and beyond since I’ve lived here. A huge perk to be able to build a great relationship with friendly, helpful faces!

I’ve been looking for a new spot for a while and decided to visit The Rice. The property is beautiful and so unique. Not only was I blown away by the architecture, I also had the pleasure of working with Samantha V who was my personal guide. She was so knowledgeable, patient and SWEET. It was refreshing to feel like i wasn’t just a number she had to show around. I definitely recommend this place and please ask for Samantha V. You won’t be disappointed.

Been looking for an apartment in downtown Houston area so I decided to check out the Rice. The leasing team at the at the Rice was very nice and welcoming. What stood out to me the most was the help in assistance I got from Samantha. Samantha was very polite and professional at showing me around the residency. She definitely made it easier for me to decide on where I want to move next. I will be back thank you Samantha and the whole leasing team for the experience!

Had the opportunity to visit this community with a client and we were both just blown away at the sight of elegance as you walk in. The work out center and numerous work space areas along with relaxing sitting areas is just a few of the amenities they offer that convinced my client that this is home. A huge thanks to Destiny who was welcoming and attentive with all the patience to answer my client’s questions. Definitely the representation of professionalism and pleasantry we were hoping for.

If I could give 0 stars I would.... I lived here for 2 years please read: First here are the highlights: - My car got stolen OUT of the garage in this building - The management is terrible and wouldn't provide footage of my car getting stolen and also wouldn't release me from my lease after I told them I felt unsafe - Tried to evict me with 2 days notice after they changed payment portals and my autopay didn't transfer over - Told me my move out date was 2 days earlier than my actual move out date and so I had to scramble to move all my things out in one day - They allowed my scary ex permission up to my apartment without calling me - Elevators break constantly, never had all the elevators been working at the same time The location of this building and Great Gatsby feel is very nice but that's where it ends. If they can charge you for something, they will. If they can help you with something, they won't. My sink stopped working and my AC was broken for days. Maintenance does their best but ultimately it's an old building and management has no plans to upgrade it. The elevator situation is no joke. sometimes none of them worked and i'd have to climb 15 flights of stairs to get to and fro my apartment. Finally, cause I think it's worth mentioning twice - MY CAR WAS STOLEN FROM INSIDE THE GARAGE AND THE BUILDING DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Didn't send an email to other residents, didn't have police investigate, and didn't let me break my lease for my own safety. Won't even elaborate on when my car got booted when the valet decided to leave it on the street instead of taking it to the garage.
